Nearly two years on ...

It's coming up to the end of 2011, and a very long time since I posted here. Only reminded of it by a recent query from someone who read our posts on Belize, and had some follow up questions. It's good to know that the blog still has some relevance.

We are both now settled in new roles in the South East of England. Malcolm is Team Rector of a group of three Anglican Parishes on the Essex / London border, working with two colleagues. Ruth is Hospital Chaplain in a large University Hospital in north east London, working with two Chaplaincy colleagues and a host of volunteers.

We are still in regular touch with some friends in Belize. We are also now part of a support network in the UK: http://www.belizechurchassociation.org.uk/ Our most recent venture was the collection of a large number of books, and lots of sports equipment, that has been sent out to Belize courtesy of Fyffes, the banana company.

Belize will always have a place in our hearts. Beautiful country, wonderful people. Just sad that our time there ended as it did.
